This Curvy Barbie Gown was intended to be a Pioneer dress. A simple two-piece smock top, with a full skirt.

But enough with laundry and dressing like a workhorse. We decided to spiff it up with lace & pearls and head for the parlor. This Fashionista Curvy is ready for some freshly baked Scones and hot Tea!

Time for another Curvy Barbie outfit. Starting this week, I'm focusing more on one-of-a-kind fashions (OOAK) and venturing forth from the one-size-fits all sundresses that I had earlier designed. I'll still be making them (I really love LOVE that dress style) but Curvy and the rest of the gang need to branch out more, and I need to stretch my sewing.

This Zebra gown was a lot of fun to make though, and I centered my design around the micro sized handbag that I lined in pink flannel, gold bead trimming, a heart pendant, and chain strap. This tiny purse snaps closed. 

One-size-fits-all Barbie doll gown

 To add an extra touch, a matching pink bracelet to boot. I'm really loving the brown and pink combo and will explore that color scheme further. This outfit was a lot of fun to make!

These doll photos are from my archives and so far, this is the smallest historical gown I have created.  These BJD Monster High dolls are less than half the size of Barbie. Sewing miniature doll clothes can be tricky with a sewing machine, so the bulk of this outfit was mainly sewn by hand.

Curvy Barbie finally got to check off "Oahu" from her bucket list. It was a dream come true to visit the gorgeous island, and to spend a relaxing week in Waikiki. Her all time favorite hangout was the Outrigger hotel as the location is perrrrfect - just steps away from the warm sand, the surfs, restaurants, and shoppppping. Oh la la, She's wearing her souvenir, and even brought back a matching gift for her best friend!

Quite possibly Barbie is over dressed for her nature walk today, but she has wayyy too many pretty clothes to dress frumpy! And besides, didn't she read somewhere that mosquitoes are not attracted to pink? Probably not (and wishful thinking), but she wanted to justify getting extra fancy!
